The Gifted Club spend Victoria Day Long Weekend in NYC gettin’ it in with a couple of dope producers. (Heavy shouts to Sham in Long Island and Starting 5ive Prod. reppin’ Brooklyn). We ended up writing a hand full of songs, bangin’ out tuff trax, turning a few heads and changing a few more minds in the process. 
We also found some subliminal motivation on our way in, through and around the Tri-Boro via HOT 97. Without any exaggeration they must have played a Drake song 4 times within the hour… every hour! (In monotone voice) “U Da, U Da, Best”…. I’m talking more than Weezy, Yeezy & Jeezy slapped together! lol And you know what, his music fit right in. It wasn’t forced, corny, obvious… just good damn music! And as we listened and bobbed our heads not so much as saying a word to each other, we quietly realized that “Hey! He comes where I come from, keep pushin’!” And sometimes that’s all you need. T.O stand up!

Devante Swing was the Mastermind behind the classic 90’s R&B group Jodeci. Made up of two sets of brothers, (DeVante & Dalvin DeGrate and brothers K-Ci & JoJo) DeVante was a very talented musician who wrote and produced. He also had a knack for discovering great talent such as TIMBALAND, MISSY, GINUWINE AND STATIC (R.I.P).
